Mary Cassatt - Girl with a Banjo

Mary Cassatt (American, 1844-1926) - Girl with a Banjo, c.1893-94 (Pastel on tan wove paper) -Degas, Cassatt’s chief mentor, provided criticism of her work, offered advice on technique, and encouraged her experiments in printmaking. Like Degas, she was chiefly interested in figure compositions.
