La Carta (The Letter)

Rafael de Ochoa y Madrazo (Spanish, 1858-1935) - La Carta (The Letter), (Oil on panel) - - Ochoa y Madrazo was a disciple of Raimundo Madrazo and, after receiving his first training, he went to the School of Fine Arts in Paris, where he completed his knowledge and techniques in the workshop of Juan León Gérome. Ochoa y Madrazo, fascinated by the artistic atmosphere of Paris, maintained his residence in the French capital for many years and much of his best production is kept in private collections and in French museums.
